| Robert Koch| Assignment #2| | This report is on Robert Koch. Robert Koch is a German bacteriologist who discovered anthrax disease, cholera, and bacteria that stird tuberculosis. Robert Koch was born on crepuscule 11, 1843, at Clausthal in the Harz Mountains. He surprised his parents when he showed his parents that he taught himself to read at the age of five. He exceled through pop highschool school and showed a liking to biology. In 1862 Koch went to the University of Göttingen to muckle over medicine. He studied anatomy under Jacob Henle, who ostensibly influenced his scheme that was published in 1840 that infectious diseases were caused by living, epenthetic organisms. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Gottingen in 1866, and trained at Hamburg customary Hospital. In 1870 Koch volunteered for service during the Franco- Prussian war. Koch became the District checkup policeman for Wollstein in 1872 to 1880. This is where he began t o carry out his researches that located him on the top scientists. During this time the farm animals in the Wollstein district became predominant with anthrax. Scientists Pollender, Rayer and Davaine had already discovered anthrax but Koch treasured to promote that bacillus is the cause of anthrax.
